Vehicles in German Town Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police reported they were notified by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Around 50 automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Cars, walls and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement state they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish fluid.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then located numerous other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police state initial examinations suggest the substance was likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; investigators are currently not aware of any harm in relation with the occurrence," they commented.

Local authorities stated they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A senior representative commented the incident left him stunned and needed to be addressed quickly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on social media, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
